In a world where loneliness is a pandemic, it is no wonder that in recent years Local multiplayer games are on the rise.
Similarly to Board games and TTRPGs, Local multiplayer games, motivate players to physically meet their friends, communicate, solve problems together and share emotional experiences in the same physical space and time, which most single-player or on-line games cannot.
In this Talk I present the game design fundamentals of Local multiplayer games and how to apply them correctly.
